Scientific Advisory Board

The miGut-Health advisory board brings together actors with different backgrounds and interests. They are closely involved throughout the duration of the project by providing expert advice and guidance. Their input is invaluable in shaping the overall direction and lasting success of the project.

The advisory board consists of four members:

Professor Dr Vibeke Andersen
IBD researcher and gastroenterologist

Professor Dr Tom Hemming Karlsen
gastroenterologist/hepatologist with expertise in biomarker research

Professor Dr Mauro D’Amato
scientist and expert on gut health/biological research

Professor Dr Konstantinos Gerasimidis
clinical nutrition specialist for IBD

Ethics Advisor

The miGut-Health research and related activities are overseen by an Independent Ethics Advisor to ensure compliance with ethical principles and relevant legislation, including the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights and the European Convention on Human Rights. The miGut-Health ethics advisor is consulted during the preparation of all deliverables involving ethical aspects and provides guidance to the consortium on ethically sensitive matters and activities.
