IBD Explained

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is an umbrella term for a group of chronic gastrointestinal diseases. While these diseases are characterised by inflammation and consequent damage to tissues in the digestive tract, they also impact every aspect of the affected individual's life. The two main types of IBD are ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.
