miGut-Health final conference to explore advances in gut health research

The miGut-Health final conference, Advancing Gut Health Research Through European Collaboration, will take place on 30 November 2026 at the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences in Vilnius. The programme brings together researchers and external experts to discuss emerging biomarkers, microbiome restoration, dietary prevention and personalised approaches to IBD.

The conference will feature speakers including Junko F. Stevens of Thermo Fisher Scientific, Prof. Juozas Kupčinskas of LSMU, Prof. Dr. Bahtiyar Yilmaz of the University of Bern and Nicolas Benech of Lyon 1 and Hospices Civils de Lyon. Sessions will also explore topics such as early disease prediction, mucosal mechanisms, microbial triggers, immune signatures and the use of multi-omics and AI in precision medicine.

The programme continues the following day with a Health-Engagement Open Lab for people living with IBD in Lithuania, organised by the International Federation of Crohn’s and Colitis Associations (IFCCA). On 1 December, from 11:00 to 12:00, participants will hear Prof. Guendalina Graffigna present findings from a survey on stress, eating habits and IBD in Lithuania. The session will also introduce the ENGAGE-IBD Personalised Health Engagement Guide, co-created by IFCCA, miGut-Health, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and EngageMinds HUB.
