Information sheet on the processing of your personal data within the miGut Health IBD Community Campaign

As a participant in the miGut-Health IBD Community Campaign, this information sheet is provided to you by EURICE, the project's main partner responsible for communication activities. It conveys important information about EURICE’s privacy practices and your rights in relation to your personal information. 2. SUBJECT MATTER

­Editing and publication of short profiles on the official project’s website https://www.migut-health.eu/ as part of the “IBD Community” section presenting first hand experiences with inflammatory bowel diseases. ­ Editing and publication of short profiles on the project’s official social media channels (X and LinkedIn) to inform about inflammatory bowel diseases.

3. PURPOSE

We process your personal data within the miGut Health IBD Community Campaign to raise awareness of inflammatory bowel diseases by communicating und disseminating first-hand experiences.

4. LEGAL BASIS OF DATA PROCESSING

The processing of your personal data is based on your consent according to Art. 6, para. 1, letter a) GDPR. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

5. PERSONAL DATA

Your following personal data will be processed:

  • Your IP address (when submitting your answers via our secure online questionnaire)
  • Your first name
  • Data concerning your health such as your statements, quotes including first hand experiences with inflammatory bowel diseases as entered by you in our questionnaire
  • Your age (not mandatory)
  • Photographs in which you are identifiable as an individual person (not mandatory)

7. TRANSFER TO A THIRD COUNTRY OR INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION

In order to reach the broader public and to promote the IBD Community Campaign, we use the services of X (X Corp, 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA) and LinkedIn (1000 W. Maude Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94085, USA), whose servers are situated outside the EU.

LinkedIn and X Corp. are certified under the EU-US-Data Privacy Framework. Therefore, the adequacy decision of the EU is in effect.

8. DURATION OF STORAGE

Periods for retention result from the applicable Horizon Europe provisions. In accordance thereto, the data must be retained for up to five years after receipt of the project’s final payment, according to Art. 20.1 GA and the miGut-Health Data Sheet, Point 6.

9. YOUR RIGHTS AS A DATA SUBJECT

You have the right to withdraw your given consent, the right of access, the right to rectification, the right to erasure (right to be forgotten), the right to restriction of processing, the right to data portability in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR as well as the right to object to the processing. Limitations in accordance with §§ 34 and 35 of the German BDSG apply to the right to access and the right to erasure.
